IPA AGM & Social Function – Saturday 11 September
Hello IPAers,
We are combining our Annual General Meeting (AGM) with a social function in September and are returning to one of the highlight social function venues from 2009, the Black Forest German Cafe Restaurant, 196 Gladstone Road, Highgate Hill, Brisbane.
The restaurant’s proprietor, Richard Dettloff, is generously opening the restaurant at 5.00pm for our exclusive use until 6.00pm to conduct the AGM. At 6.00pm we will close the meeting and settle down for a hearty German meal.
A set menu with a choice of five main meals has been selected, specifically:
Entrée
Pumpkin or Chicken Soup
Main meal choices
1) Oven roasted Duck (1/4), a signature dish, served with Red Cabbage, Potato Dumplings and sauce;
2) Oven roasted Pork Hock (1/2), a true Bavarian dish, served with Bavarian Dumplings, Sauerkraut and sauce;
3) Chicken Cordon Bleu, lean Chicken breast filled with Ham and Cheese, seasoned, crumbed and fried, and served with fried Potatoes and Gypsy sauce;
4) A vegetarian dish, Ratatouille, an original recipe, on Potato Rösti;
Or
5) Bavarian Sausages (4) with Sauerkraut and mashed Potatoes.
Dessert
Apple Strudel or Black Forest Cake
Plus
Tea or Coffee
The price is $30.00 per person and has been subsidised by the Qld Region IPA.
Important RSVP information – I need to advise the restaurant five days before the function, the exact number of attendees and their choice of main meal, so please provide the accurate number of people in your party and their main meal choices.
Please also indicate if you are attending the AGM, the social function, or both!
Drinks – the restaurant is fully licensed and offers 12 German Beers and a selection of German, Australian and New Zealand wines.
The restaurant is BYO Wine only and charges a corkage fee of $ 4.00 per person.
Please pay for your drinks on the night when you order them as this will simplify paying for the meals at the end of the night.
Public transport – the venue is a 10 minute walk from the Dutton Park railway station, and bus transport is even closer.
